SUMMER INTERNSHIP

So I don't know if any of you remember any of my mentionings (complainings) of Phil interviewing for summer internships the last few months...but I'm happy and grateful to say the three month process of applications, interviews, fly-backs and everything that entails is over and that we received and accepted an offer to: in: NEW YORK! NEEEW YOOOORK! I know, I know. Fits me and my big city ways perfectly, but we all know it was only a matter of time before I ended up in the Big Apple. Or more so, the reality being that is the last place I ever thought I'd live...even if it's just for 12 weeks :) In the very least it should make for some great blog-fodder. Now if any of you have any tips on how to get my big city girl on, let me know. (I'm already doing pretty well with the "big" part, but the "city" part needs some serious help.

  3. That's awesome! One of my good friends just moved with her two kiddos (ages 3 and 1) to New York for med school, and she's been sharing some great New York living stories on her blog--you should check her out. They moved there in August, so maybe check back her archives! http://forrestandabbie.blogspot.com

How fun for you guys! Knowing it's temporary will make it totally doable!

  4. Yeay! Autumn and I had so much fun in New York. We didn't do it with two children though. But, make friends quickly to get a baby-sitter and go to at least one Broadway show. And if you like burgers, eat at The Burger Joint behind the curtain in the Ritz Carlton lobby. And eat a Grey's Papaya hot dog for me. And go to the MOMA, and Guggenheim, and Central Park's cute little zoo, and everything else.

And I'm already planning a trip to visit (i haven't been 4 hours from you in way too long)! I have a really good friend (a few actually) that live there right now...if you need any advice/suggestions on housing or good areas to live, etc. Please let me know and I'll put you in contact (she's super cute and so much fun...)
