~SIGH~ OF RELIEF

Just in case there is the smallest chance the Boogy Man is listening, I don't like to blabber around to the WWW when my man, my PRO-tect-OR, or in other words, the other half of this marriage delegated (by me) to sleep with a baseball bat under his side of the bed, is out of town. Which is why this post is after the fact and why I'm breathing a sigh of relief to HAVE HIM HOME AGAIN (I didn't want there to be any confusion). Phil just happened to have a business trip that took him out of town for five day followed by a training the next week that took him out of town for 4 days. In defense of my independence, we managed just fine and I only had like one or two woe-is-me episodes :) But seriously, I believe people adapt to their situation and so were just got used to our daily routine without him. That sounds sad, but now that he's home, what used to be the norm, is now totally extra great and nice and allows me to do stuff like just sit here and blog while Phil feeds and bathes our babe. Not to mention we missed him like crazy. Truly, it's quite the spectacle around here--Ryder and I both vying for his attention...it's really not much of a competition. Anyhow, I wasn't really looking forward to these last couple of weeks, so I'm quite glad they're over. In other news, we're also breathing a sigh of relief to finally have a plan for this fall. {drum roll please} We will be attending:
BYU Marriott School of Business
for the next two years while Phil completes his MBA program in Organization Behavior. Wahoo! In considering our options there were so many pros to this program that it moved quickly to the top of our list. Oh, and anyone who knows me knows I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little excited (ecstatic) to be moving closer to my family. It also goes without saying how sad we'll be to leave too...but, more on this later. Right now, it just feels so great to have a plan and know where we're going. So at this point, hopefully, everything goes according to plan :) And there were are.

  3. And it's official! How great for you guys to move on to the next chapter... grad school! I hope for both you and I that the next 2 years fly by! (D will finish med school the same time Phil is done with his program.) It will be sad to not have you guys around for our every so often visits. :) Good luck and keep in touch of your comings and goings... And oh - you and my sis-in-law should talk - she's 3 months in to a 5 month training without her husband (my brother). I don't know how you all do it! Glad your fam is together!

  6. I am glad Phil is back. I really don't like it when Rex leaves either, which isn't very often. I don't know what we would do without him. He sure does help out a lot with the munchkins!! I bet it was nice to have him home and giving you a little bit of a break! I am so glad you guys are able to get back to Utah again!! That is so nice to be able to be close to family. I only live 3 1/2 hours from home, but somedays it feel like a long ways away.

  11. Hey, just came across this blog and had to let you know that I too am a big chicken when my husband leaves town. I can't even go to sleep until around 2:00 am. Glad the boogey man didn't get you. It's always a relief when you actually get to wake up in the morning, eh?
