Since we were in the process of getting over some colds Phil and I were in the mood to spend or Friday evening home. What do we do? Wendy's run. We love Wendy's and have a special place for the Wendy's dollar menu in our hearts. Well, we get home and decided to pop in a movie. As we're scrolling down to see what movie to watch, we see Phil has TiVoed "Super Size Me". He having seen it once before and me never we thought it would be a laugh to watch it while we ate fast food. Needless to say I did not make it all the way through my Jr. Bacon Cheese Burger. For those of you who haven't seen it, it basically shows that if you were to eat three square meals a day from McDonald's, for a month, you would do the same amount of damage to your liver as an alcoholic. Not to mention the way their chicken nuggets are made....ewwwh. That along with their market strategies geared toward children and their priorities for money rather than the health of the nation made me really mad at fast food. And while I sit here fighting the urge to salivate at the though of a medium fry and frosty...I promise to start anew! No more fructose and other artificial flavorings (as well as nutrients). I will cook! And I will be good at it!

  1. Jasmine--

I'm just catching up on your blog--you should read Fast Food Nation. It has a lot of interesting info about the fast food industry...even more reason to eat at home!
